Being an only child, I always dreamt of having a big sister. How lucky am I to finally have one in Deanna? How we met is pretty obvious, but our relationship was strong right off the bat. She is always the first person I tell when I make an impulsive expensive purchase (which she always encourages!). A fun fact about Deanna: she can tell you every detail about diamonds and might as well work for the Gemological Institute of America! And, she and Matt make the cutest kids in the world!

The best thing I gained from college was my best friend, Shannon. We met on our very first day of freshman year and were inseparable ever since. She is the type of friend that will let you crawl in to her bed with her because you can't climb the ladder to your top bunk after one too many drinks, will massage your hands after completing your written finals, and will travel 6 hours to watch you run 13 miles in the freezing cold and celebrate with you at the finish line. A fun fact about Shannon: she can rap the lyrics to any Eminem song and often does this when she is stressed out. She is honestly the best of the best, and I can't imagine having anyone else stand right next to me on my big day!

Liz Orlando

Liz has been my longest and forever best friend! We grew up directly next door to each other and grew up like sisters (we even fought like them too!). From playing in diapers in the sandbox, to playing flashlight tag, to visiting each other in college, to planning our weddings together, I am so thankful to have Liz by my side! A fun fact about Liz: when we were little we got in to a fight and went back and forth writing comebacks to each other in chalk on our driveways. Our moms made us hug and make up and all was fine after! Oh, and she makes the best Old Fashion!

Mary Kate Petrucelli

Mary Kate and I met in high school when we joined the indoor track team. What started out as a joke ended up with us holding a school record together, still to this day. We became super close after college when we would often join Liz and her now husband on dates because she didn’t want to go alone. Some of my fondest memories with MK come from our trip to New Orleans where we were lucky enough to come back alive! A fun fact about MK: she knows how to get a pool party started in Cabo!

Maria Fiondella

Maria is the epitome of the quote “true friendship isn’t about who you’ve known the longest, it’s about who walked in to your life and said ‘I’m here for you,’ and proved it”. Maria and I met through our mutual friend Sam, and instantly became fast friends. You can always count on her to bring you a yummy sandwich and some Advil when you need it the most, to have a low-key night in, or a “wild” (hey, we’re in our 30s) night out. A fun fact about Maria: she NEVER gets hungover, but will drive you to get IV fluids when you can barely get out of bed!

Samantha Bokina

I met Sam while working together in the Emergency Department. We became fast friends, eventually switching to the PACU together, and even moving to the same town at the same exact time. She is my go-to person when I hear some good gossip, and chances are she’s already heard it! She is my favorite person to scheme with, if we look like we are on a mission, chances are we are up to something. A fun fact about Sam: she is an avid foodie and knows all the best spots to eat in Connecticut!

Carli Herron

Carli and I met in college when we signed up to do a brutally long charity walk (180 miles) called Road for Hope. A few years after graduation, I reached out to Carli to see if Yale was hiring nurses, and the next thing I knew we were working in the Emergency Department and living in New Haven together. She is the reason Frank and I met! A fun fact about Carli: she loves mozzarella sticks and reality TV, can convince you to do just about anything (like running a half marathon for the first time in 9 years), and her alter ego is named Miranda, she comes out to play when whisky is involved!

Bethany was one of my very first friends in Connecticut (shoutout to Carli for introducing us!). As an honorary member of our New Haven apartment, Bethany and I quickly became inseparable. She is the person I go to when I need a good TV show to binge watch or when I need someone to tell me I am overreacting (lol). A fun fact about Bethany: when you're in the mood for a boozy brunch, Bethany is always the first one to say she's in!
