One day a small town Auburn boy Instagram messaged a Tawas girl. Good things can come from social media. One message led to another & it didn't take long for either one of them to realize what a perfect match they were and how much they cared for one another in a short amount of time. Connor & Maddi met for a date at Lake Lansing & instantly became inseparable. The rest was history.
On a rainy and foggy day in Asheville, North Carolina, Connor was ready to get his knee dirty. Connor had tricked Maddi into thinking they were going to a "work lunch" at a restaurant on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Arriving at the lunch, the fog was thick and the beautiful overlook views were gone. Connor insisted on still walking around outside in the rain and fog to take a look around. Maddi turned around and Connor was down on one knee asking her to spend the rest of her life with him. After a couple tears and an emotional '"yes" they were officially engaged! A surprise photographer caught the entire thing and played around in the rain with them after to get some post-engagement shots.
First comes love, second comes engagement, third comes a little miss Sawyer Lynne. God had other plans for 2023; we became parents. To be able to be fully present for both our wedding and the pregnancy, we made the decision to postpone our wedding a year. Our world was completely changed this October when we welcome our little girl. She is the biggest blessing for both Connor and I and she was meant to be a part of our special day, where she gets to witness her mom and dad tie the knot. We couldn't imagine our day any other way, now. So thank you to all our friends and family for bearing with us and rolling with the changes - we can't wait to finally be married this September!
