We're Getting Married!

Deneé's Perspective: Santana and I met through my lovely Matron of Honor, Beyonca, around 2019 but officially became true best friends in 2022. Throughout the course of our friendship, we would always chat about the most random topics, but the conversations would last hours. Santana always made it overtly obvious that he was interested in me during our convos but I would always turn it down or ignore it (LOL sorry my love...) and our chats then turned to hours-long Facetime calls. If you know anything about Santana, you know that guy knows how to hold a conversation, which is one of the things I love most about him. Whenever we would hang out, I would always preface to him that "This is not a date" when they most certainly were. Our first official date was a picnic and before meeting Santana, I have always wanted to go on a picnic date as I found them so romantic. It was the fact that I had never told him that and he planned the most perfect picnic date all on his own with my favorite snacks and foods. Since then, we have been inseparable and I am so blessed to be marrying the most thoughtful and romantic soul who loves me in a way I could’ve never imagined. I guess giving him a chance was all worth it ;) Santana's Perspective: The time has come, I GET TO MARRY THE WOMAN OF MY DREAMS. Let me rewind time for you to show you how good God works. Ever since I was a kid, I remember praying to God to please bless me with a beautiful dark-skinned curly-headed princess who can sing and worship You. God sure did His big one by blessing me with Deneé, but we will continue to work on those vocals. Her worship blesses my heart tho lol. We first met through my cousin Beyonca, her Matron of Honor, around 2019. It wasn’t until she regularly started attending Desatar that we got close and became best friends. God has always been up to something. Seeing her commitment to the Lord and consistency in showing up to the house of God drew me more to her! To know she wanted to serve God on her own accord was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. Feelings for her started brewing like crazy. Come on now... Beauty and a heart for God, can’t beat that! In 2022, we became close and often found each other entrusting each other with life’s ups and life’s downs. Many texts, many facetimes, and many lake conversations all built the love we have for each other now and then some. I always knew she was the one for me even when I joked around saying “that’s my wife” to my cousins. Deneé is very special and I’ve always seen her beauty inside and out. Fast forward to March of 2023 during Desatar’s months of nightly prayer, I consistently petitioned to God to please help me get out of the friend zone with Deneé 😂. I prayed "God if she’s the one for me help me get closer to her and if not, take her out of my life because You know what’s good for me." And look at God, I can’t thank Him enough for honoring my prayers because we indeed got closer. Our days consisted of good morning texts, meet-ups at the gym, prayer right after, and a food run to cap our nights off. Our foundation was built on prayer and Jesus at the center of it all. It is with much honor and gratitude that I am blessed to call my princess, Mrs. Vergara on 5/18/2025! The prayers of the righteous availeth much!!
