If you fly into Minneapolis. The Minnesota State Fair is definitely an experience! The farm animals are cool to look at and there are some fun food items to explore. Locals look forward to this all year. They even have a llama costume contest (they dress up the llamas). Tickets are less than $20/person, normal fair food pricing. You can park at lots on University of Minnesota's parking lots and shuttle over on buses.
