Q + A

Frequently Asked Questions
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal attire. Tea length dresses, gowns, suits or tuxes are all great options!

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The mass and ceremony will begin at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church at 3:00 pm. Please arrive 15 minutes early to find a seat.

Question

How can I get from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

There will be a one-way shuttle for guests to get downtown for the cocktail hour and reception beginning around 4:15 pm at the church. If you would prefer to drive, there is street parking available outside of Salvage One. We would also recommend using Uber, Lyft or another ride-share option to and from the ceremony/reception.

Question

What should I do between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

Depending on traffic, the shuttles are likely to be arriving to the reception location before the 6:00 pm start time. We recommend hanging out at one of the great local West Town spots walking distance from the venue. The shuttles will be dropping guests off at Friends of Friends, Goose Island BrewPub and Lemon, which are all under a 9 minute walk from the reception location.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

The wedding invitations will be addressed specifically to those invited. If you have a date, they will be included on your invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome at the reception?

Answer

We love your children, but as this will be a late night, the cocktail hour and reception are adults-only events.
