 From Chapin Alternative to Atlanta, GA. Time flies, but when you’re with the people that you love time seems to slow down, just enough, to allow you to appreciate those moments. I met Cam when in middle school, but I met the Shepherds at Grill Marks Columbia, SC in 2020. Though they weren’t officially the Shepherd’s, i think we all knew it would happen. A sister and brother is what I looked at them as from the start. When I need to talk they listen and when they need to talk I listen. Just there for one another helping out just as family should. My love for them will forever be great just being that we’re more than just friends, we’re family. Love, Najy ♥️

My name is Xavier Hill and I am a childhood friend of Cam. I met Cam back in 2009 when we were in middle school back in Columbia, SC. We built a friendship that initially revolved around basketball, but then quickly turned into a brotherhood over the years. Our friendship grew through high school and has continued to this day. It is amazing seeing my brother grow into a man—from sleeping on each other’s floors in high school, to seeing him get married to the love of his life is nothing short of amazing. I have seen Cam at his lowest, and at his highest, and there is not another person I have seen have a better impact on him and his life than Venus. Cam called me in his excited little kid type of tone, frantically telling me he found this amazing woman that he felt was the one. I laughed, rolled my eyes, and said okay Cam I hear you, I can’t wait to meet her then. I was able to meet Venus during one of their trips to Columbia and I immediately knew he was not lying. The way my brother lit up talking about her and the support she gave Cam was evident. Cam was home, and there was nothing that would stop him from marrying this woman. With me being in Florida, I have not had a lot of time with Cam and Venus together—but each year I look forward to seeing them during Christmas and playing Family feud. Venus is my brothers rock and there is none that could do it better.

I’ve known Cam for 10+ years now. We met in high school and immediately became best friends. It’s moments like these that you really realize how fast time flies. We have both seen each other grow from boys to men and I could not be more proud of the man my brother has become. I know that with Venus by his side, he will have a woman who will push him to be the greatest version of himself daily. I am blessed to have these two, as they become one, in my life and cannot be more excited for them as they continue to grow in love and make their impact on this world!

Hey I’m Michael Morgan, I’m from irmo South Carolina. I met came through a mutual friend. I first I didn’t really like cam bc of girl lol but over time we became really good friends! Cam is the reason I took that leap of faith and moved out of South Carolina and I thank him for that. Throughout our trials and tribulations in Atlanta made us even closer and better men. I was happy to witness his relationship with Venus from the first day till present. I’m so proud he found his black queen and she’s perfect for him. I just want to wish y’all best and I love y’all. I first met Cam during the beginning of COVID. My lovely Sister in Love told me of strapping young man that she had become smitten by, and was excited for me and Vega to meet. It was clear after meeting him within that first weekend that she surely had found her soulmate. His love for God and for Venus is matchless and I’m excited for what forever has in store for both of them.

I am so honored to be a part of this celebration as a groomsman to my guy Cam! I met Cam through Venus, who grew up attending Central Church of Christ in Milwaukee, WI with my wife Alisha. Alisha and I moved to Atlanta, GA in 2018. This allowed for my wife to reconnect with Venus as we all attended Renaissance Church of Christ (formerly West End COC) at the time. Since reconnecting Alisha and I were able to grow closer with Venus. A month or so after Venus met Cam, we went on our first double date at RA Sushi. Had a ball! We had the time to talk and share experiences from our past and just had an overall great time. Since that first double date we have been on too many to even count. We have shared so many great memories since then. We make sure to frequently link up for game nights, pool days and various festivals/activities around Atlanta. If I had to point out my favorite thing about our friendship it would be simply conversation. Together we have a great time but often just get caught up in talking. We talk about relationships and all the tough things that come with being a young black Christian couple. It’s so refreshing to have friends to talk with about things like that. We cannot wait to see what God has in store for our friendship, marriages and personal accomplishments. Until then, As Cam might say “Ay Let’s Get It!” We love you Cam and Venus and are so happy to call you guys not only our friends and but FAMILY!

After studying together, we soon learned that we lived down the street from each other and instantly became inseparable. Venus has remained one of my closest friends since college. Hello my name is Tiffany, I met Venus working at an animal Hospital in Tallahassee Florida when her Pomeranian Cinny ate grapes which are toxic for dogs and we had to rush her in for an emergency visit. Ever since then we have been so close and always checked up on one another. We both moved to Atlanta Georgia after our careers took us here after college and then grew even more close. Venus has always been more than just a friend but also a sister. We have spent every New Year together for the past 3 years and on January 1st 2020 Venus met the love of her life and I met my brother Cameron. From day one Cameron has always been there to lead,guide, provide, and support Venus in every way possible. He has shown his love to Venus and to all of her family and friends. I've been blessed with every moment God has given me with them. I am beyond proud of both of them and I can not say enough on how much I love them.

I first met Venus in my Adolescent/teenage years at Central church of Christ in Milwaukee, WI. We were blessed to reconnect in Atlanta, GA and our friendship has continued to grow ever since. My husband and I are so happy to know and love Venus and Cam. The memories we’ve shared so far in our adult years have been some of the best times I’ve ever had. They are genuine, supportive, and selfless. It has been a joy to watch their relationship grow. I pray that our friendship continues to flourish and we grow old as each other’s support system and “village”. I am so excited to be apart of and celebrate their special day 🥳🤍

Sister of the Groom. Where can I begin with Cam, I have known him all of my life. I'll never forget leaving school early to meet him for the first time and holding him knowing he would be one of my favorite people on this planet.
