Our paths initially crossed back in high school, but Dylan was too busy 'dating' my girlfriends back then. Fast forward many years later when we were reintroduced. I had recently moved back to Omaha to pursue my Masters in Medical Anatomy. Dylan was living with one of my classmates at that time who happened to invite our cohort over for a bonfire. Dylan answered the door and said "Hey, I know you!" with the biggest smile on his face. The spark was relight and the rest was history! Well, maybe not history. It took a lot of convincing (many months and many times asking) before I agreed to go on a date. But by the end of our first date - we both knew that there was something special between the two of us. Over the years, we have grown together is many ways. We recently bought our first home in May 2020 and added our fur baby (Mr. Wallace) later that year. Cheer's to many years celebrating life together and growing even further in our marriage.

The night we got engaged was sweet and intimate - all that I could have asked for! Dylan and I had recently welcomed our new puppy (Mr. Wallace) into our family. It was right before the holidays so we decided to have some family photos taken. Leading up to the day of our photos, I had secretly wondered if Dylan was going to 'pop the question'. But all of my suspicion went out the window when Dylan walked out in his tightest pair of skinny jeans. I thought to myself, "There's no way he can hid a ring box in those jeans!" But who would have thought - by the end of our photo session, Dylan got down on one knee. It was the quickest YES of my life. We spent the evening together at our favorite Italian restaurant drinking wine and champagne reflecting on our relationship and sharing our excitement for the future together.
