FAQs

If you have any other questions beyond what is listed here, please feel free to contact either of us.
Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please note that due to a concert at Sanford Stadium the day of our wedding, there is higher anticipated traffic in the Athens area. Please plan on arriving at the State Botanical Garden by 3:15 PM to have time to find parking and make your way to the Day Chapel. Doors will close promptly at 4:00 PM, and guests will not be allowed in after that time. If you miss the ceremony, please join us in celebration at the Conservatory afterward. The gardens are free to the public and will be open all day, so we encourage you to get there early and explore the grounds!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We are requesting guests wear cocktail attire. Suits, formal jumpsuits, cocktail dresses (knee length or longer), and formal separates are all welcome. Please, no jeans or dresses in shades of white.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 27th to ensure we can accommodate everyone comfortably. After this date, our final guest list will be submitted to vendors, and we will no longer be able to make changes. To RSVP, please see the "RSVP" tab on our website.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

Your presence will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible by RSVPing "no", so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Will there be a bar?

Answer

Yes, there will be an open bar with a selection of beer, wine, and cocktails.

Question

Is the wedding inside or outside?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception will take place indoors. Cocktail hour will take place outdoors on the Conservatory patio.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we are only able to accommodate the guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If your partner or plus one is invited, they will appear on your invitation and the RSVP section of the website.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love all the children in our lives, we have decided to make this an adults-only celebration. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

The State Botanical Garden has plenty of parking, however, vehicles cannot stay overnight. Therefore, we encourage those planning on drinking to Uber/Lyft or have a designated driver. Please reach out to us if you have any concerns.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you refrain from using your phone or taking pictures during the ceremony. We love our photographer and you will too! Please allow her to take photos during the ceremony uninterrupted and respectfully refrain from using phones as we take our vows and enter this next chapter of our lives.

Question

What does accessibility look like at the venue?

Answer

Accessible parking spots are located next to the Day Chapel. There is a short walk from the Day Chapel to the Conservatory, and a staff member will be available to take guests via golf cart if needed. The gardens and the patio outside the Conservatory offer a quieter space if anyone needs a break from the party. If there are any specific accommodation requests or questions, please don't hesitate to contact us!
