It was the summer of 2023 in Charlotte,NC. Brittany was graduating cosmetology school in Charlotte and Zach had just moved from Buffalo,NY and was working at US Bank. Brittany, being from Charlotte, loved to go to Coyote Joes (country bar in Charlotte) with her friends on the weekends. She would go to all the concerts and loved the line dancing. They didn’t know each other at the time but Zach loved spending time there too. One night Randall King, a country singer was playing at Coyote Joes. Brittany was there in the crowd with her friends and Zach was there with his. The country singer began to play a slow song, from across the bar Zach saw Brittany and his world stopped. He walked up to Brittany and asked her to dance. Brittany and Zach danced for the entire song, until Brittany had to leave. She left without giving Zach her name or number… A few weeks later, Brittany and Zach were at the same bar with friends but not together. Brittany and her friend were standing at the bar ordering drinks when Zach saw Brittany from across the bar. Zach walked up to Brittany and introduced himself and asked “do you remember me?” Brittany, not realizing it was him said “no, I don’t think we’ve met” Zach being polite (and kind of in shock) said “oh, ok well it’s nice to meet you” Brittany said “it’s nice to meet you too” and her and her friend grabbed their drinks from the bar and went back to line dancing. A few weeks went by, Brittany and Zach were both still thinking about seeing each other that night and wishing they would see each other again. Then one night they were again at the same bar with friends. Brittany and her friend saw Zach and his friend sitting at a table. Brittany and her friend went and sat at the table in front of them, waiting for Zach to notice her. Finally, Zach pulled up a chair next to Brittany and they talked the whole night. Towards the end of the night Zach leaned over to Brittany and said “if I go out on the dance floor and embarrass myself will you give me your number?” But he knew the song and he knew it was ending so as soon as Brittany said “yes” he got up on the dance floor for two seconds and then came right back and sat next to her. Brittany thought Zach was hilarious and charming. They finally exchanged numbers and spent the rest of the night talking and laughing together. A couple days later, they met up at the same bar and Zach finally asked Brittany to go on a date with him. Brittany and Zach spent their first date at the Truist Baseball Feild watching the Knights play. If you ask them how it went Brittany would say “it was perfect and Zach just talked the whole time” If you asked Zach he would say “it was great and she barely talked” come to find out they were both just super nervous. They talked about everything. From their families, pets, goals in life, morals, hobbies, and relationships. They both knew there was something special between them. Over the next few weeks they hung out a lot. Going to dinner, concerts, movies, and more. Then one day Zach asked Brittany on another date, but this time it was a surprise! Zach surprised Brittany and took her to Freedom park where he had a picnic already set up with a charcuterie board, wine, and chocolate covered strawberries, (Brittany’s favorite) with a letter board that said “will you be my girlfriend” Brittany being the most unserious and sarcastic person ever said “I mean, I guess” as she leaped for joy and clung to Zach. They spent the rest of the summer together doing anything and everything. And the rest was history…
