Things To Do

Gas Works Park

Gas Works Park

2101 North Northlake Way, Seattle, WA 98103

Gas Works Park is a special place for us, as it holds a lot of sentimental value. It was one of the places that we frequently visited when we first started dating, making it a meaningful spot for us. The park is located on the north shore of Lake Union and is built on the site of a former coal gasification plant, with many of the original structures and machinery still preserved. We love the unique and picturesque atmosphere of Gas Works Park, and we think our guests will too. So, we highly recommend checking it out while you're in Seattle and enjoying the stunning views of the lake and the Seattle skyline.

Pike Place Market

Pike Place Market

85 Pike St, Seattle, WA 98101

Pike Place Market: a farmer's market on steroids! Home to over 500 vendors, including fishmongers who throw fish like quarterbacks, and local artisans selling everything from candles to hand-blown glass. And don't forget the infamous gum wall, where you can deposit your chewing gum before exploring some of the many delicious food choices, like Beecher's Handmade Cheese and Piroshky Piroshky. Obv, the coffee game is strong here, with the OG Starbucks location - the line might be long, but the photo op is worth it - also a reliable spot if you're in need of a public restroom. Pike Place Market is a sensory overload and a quintessential Seattle experience. Just watch out for the crowds and flying fish!

Seattle Underground City Tour

Seattle Underground City Tour

102 Cherry St., Seattle, WA 98104
, (206)624-1237

The Beneath the Streets Seattle Underground Tour is a unique and fascinating way to explore the city's history. The tour takes visitors beneath the streets of Pioneer Square to the subterranean passages that were once the main roadways and storefronts of the city. Led by knowledgeable guides, the tour explores the city's early history, including its infamous "red light" district, the Great Seattle Fire of 1889, and the subsequent rebuilding of the city. While we haven't been on the tour ourselves, we've heard great things about it from friends and family who have gone and learned more about the city's past in a fun and spooky way. The ~$25 tour lasts about 90 minutes and is suitable for all ages, so it's a great activity for families and groups of friends to enjoy together.
