Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The seating of the family will begin at 1:55 pm and the ceremony will begin at 2:00 pm. We recommend getting there 20-30 minutes before the start of the ceremony. The church has plenty of parking available in both the front and rear parking lots.

Question

Is there parking for the reception?

Answer

The Jefferson Hotel has a paid parking lot. It is $15 per night for self-parking and $30 per night for valet parking.

Question

Why is there 3 hours between the start of the ceremony and the start of the reception?

Answer

Because the Catholic Church has Mass on Saturday evening, the latest a ceremony can start is 2:00 pm. The ceremony should last 45 minutes. This leaves a “Catholic gap.” During this time, the wedding party will be taking pictures. Guests are welcome to grab a drink at a local restaurant, return to their hotel, or site see in Richmond. Please see the “Things to Do” section to see places we recommend.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids, but our wedding is your night off! We recommend using River City Sitters to find a local babysitter.
