Our love story wasn’t a classic love at first sight. In fact, Jesy’s glasses didn’t exactly help her see what was right in front of her! We started out as friends in high school, completely unaware of what was to come. Little did Jesy know, Veejay had already taken quite a liking to her. For months, we played a little dance—back and forth—until about a year or two later, Jesy finally said yes to a date. It was a date she’d never forget. From then on, we kept spending more time together, and before long, Veejay asked Jesy to be his. The next three years were all about growing stronger together. It wasn’t always easy—there were bumps along the way—but we both knew we were worth every bit of the effort. Then, one September day, Veejay had a surprise planned. He took Jesy to see Spider-Man at the movies. Jesy was a little “butthurt” when he said no to popcorn, and even more confused when he started untying her shoes—until he got down on one knee and proposed, asking her to be his forever. Without hesitation, she said yes. The future is still a mystery, but we’re excited to face it together—and we hope you’ll join us in celebrating as we take this next step toward becoming one.
