Mayrhofen Im Zillertal Resort

Mayrhofen Resort is a 30 minute drive and offers great alpine skiing. Even if you don't ski/snowboard, you can hang out at the lodge and enjoy spectacular views. Once we're there, we'll buy day passes which are valid at both of the mountains comprising the resort area - Mt Ahorn, and Mt Penken. Depending on whether you're seeking more relaxed or intense skiing, you chould choose Mt Ahorn or Mt Penken, respectively (for hanging out without skiing, Mt Ahorn has a lodge: https://www.mayrhofen.at/en/stories/mountopolis-whitelounge.) For rentals: there are many rental stores within the resort, and given that most people in the group will be renting, we'll arrange that when we arrive. Main resort website is linked below. Shuttle from Schloss Matzen to Mayrhofen Resort & back

Transportation is arranged: For people staying elsewhere, your hotel should be able to arrange for a taxi to take you to the castle in the morning, and the Matzen Castle staff can call taxis to take you back to your hotel.
