First and foremost, we would like to thank our families especially our parents, our siblings, and our darling nephews and niece for their love and support that they've shown us from the very beginning. Also a very special thanks to two of our best friends for their love, help, and support that we wouldn't be able to do without. As most of you already know, we met at work through the Transportation Security Administration at Los Angeles Int'l Airport otherwise known as the ninth circle of hell... just kidding, TSA / LAX. Although we've been great friends since the early 2010s, our love story didn't actually begin until October of 2018 when I decided to visit James here in the city of Tucson, AZ after he had moved out there in 2017 to be closer to his family and work for TSA/TUS in a more relaxed environment. I had expected my birthday weekend with him to be simply kicking back with a good friend watching movies and playing video games, I realized how much I loved and needed James in my life and felt that I couldn't be without him. Within a few months of long-distance courtship, I decided to go ahead and make a huge life change by moving in with James and transferring to Tucson. 2019 proved to be an amazing change for both of us personally and professionally and now we're happy to announce that we want to make our lives official by getting married. As for the proposal story, it is a rather crazy one to the fact that the engagement ring didn't arrive on time prior to Thanksgiving (he was planning to propose in Wichita, KS with the Rivera family present), and when we finally did get the ring (sitting in plain view in front of our front porch where anybody could have grabbed it-thanks UPS) James's response to receiving the ring in that way frustrated him and he ended up using an expletive (y'all can figure out which one he used LOL) and asking me, "****it, Karina, will you marry me?" in front of my father to which I laughingly replied, "Yes!" James and I are beyond happy to be spending the rest of our lives together and we can't wait to see what will happen in 2020 and beyond for the rest of our friends and family. Can't wait to see you at the wedding, love you all!
In light of the restrictions due to COVID19, we have decided to switch the date from May 23rd to October 30, 2020. We will provide further details as we get more information and those who have questions can call either of us directly or through this website. Stay safe and hope to see you soon! #wereallinthistogether
