We met how many couples meet nowadays, ONLINE! Thank you Hinge! Our first date was also the same day we started chatting. We met up at Chuck's Hop Shop, a local bottle shop in Seattle. We drank each others favorite beers, and closed the place down due to the connection we formed. What Nicole remembers most was just laughing and smiling the whole time, and Ross remembers that Nicole was incredibly genuine.

Since dating, Nicole and Ross have tried to take one international trip a year. For February 2020, they decided on Vietnam and Thailand! Although they had conversations that they were ready for marraige, Ross said that he was not going to propose during their vacation, as it would be on Nicole’s mind the whole time. Little did she know! 13 days into their vacation landed them on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand. Nicole and Ross planned to rent a moped scooter and drive around the island, with destinations varying from sculpture gardens, waterfalls, and beaches. That evening, Ross set them up for a private dinner on the north end of the island. The restaurant prepared a romantic beach bungalow for two, with flowers, candles, and a private butler. During dinner, Nicole excitedly told Ross that that day was her second favorite day of vacation; the first being the Karen Elephant Sanctuary! After dessert, Ross got down on one knee and proposed! Although they both recall that Ross had a heartfelt speech beforehand, they both were so caught up in the moment, that neither remembers what he said. Nicole cried, said YES, and they were engaged!

Due to COVID-19, our wedding reception is postponed until further notice. We are having a small, intimate ceremony with our immediate family. We are still determining our reception plans for the future, but we hope to share a dance floor with all our family and friends sometime next fall!
