FAQs

Question

What will the temperature be like in Napa in May?

Answer

Average temperature in Healdsburg in May is 72 and Sunny (fingers crossed), high in the 80’s and lows in the 50’s at night so dress appropriately! Still worried? Check out this link! https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/healdsburg/95448/may-weather/337078

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! We are asking our guests to dress in what is called "California Formal." What is that you ask? Suits: A summer suit/tux with a shirt, pants and formal shoes. Most will be wearing ties, however a formal open collar works too! Sunglasses are a must. Dresses: Formal summer dresses at whatever length makes you feel fancy! Many will be dressed in long flowing summer dresses. Sunglasses (again) are a must! Basically it’s formal outdoor summer wedding attire, but it’s Cali so no ball gowns. Note: Ceremony and dinner will take place outside so dress accordingly in case it becomes cold in the evening. For those thinking about shoes: with the exception of the ceremony site (which is grass), the cocktail, dinner, and dancing areas are either firm gravel or a concrete floor.

Question

Is the wedding outside or inside?

Answer

Fingers crossed the weather is beautiful on our special day! We are having the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner all outside. The dancing will be inside in the barn!

Question

Are there any colors you should avoid?

Answer

No white (duh!). No but seriously, please no white or shades of white - let the bride shine! Please refrain from things that are white or mostly white. If you have to ask, it’s probably a no :) Also the maid of honor & a few others will be wearing light blue.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

March 25th, 2025. You will be able to RSVP directly on this website.

Question

Are kids allowed at the wedding?

Answer

While we love your kiddos we kindly ask that only you attend the wedding. There will a very very small number of children allowed from immediate family only (flower girls/ring bearer). We understand this may put a burden to find childcare, but we promise the celebration will be worth it!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to guest counts we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless it is specifically indicated on your envelope. For example, your envelope would list "(your name) & Guest". For families, it will list "(your name) & Family" or "The (your last name) Family". When you go to RSVP, you will be able to see the exact number of people you can RSVP for. Thank you for understanding!

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

**Taylor here** - as someone who has been late to weddings many times I want to take this one: You should plan on getting to the venue at 2:30pm. The ceremony will start promptly at 3:00 pm (a.k.a I will be walking down the isle at 3:00pm sharp, don't want to miss it? get there early!). We ask that you arrive early so you have time to enjoy a welcome beverage and find a seat for the main event!

Question

Are you providing a shuttle to the wedding ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We will be providing a shuttle to the wedding ceremony (picking up at the Best Western Dry Creek) and a shuttle to the after party from the reception. Details coming soon!

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! Ru's Farm offers complimentary parking for all wedding guests should you wish to drive. Ample parking is available in their spacious grass lot. Cars can also be left overnight onsite at Ru's, as the parking lot is private, secured and monitored. Your car has to be picked up the next day between 8-10:30am.

Question

I received an invitation do I still need to RSVP?

Answer

Yes! All guests need to RSVP so we have an accurate count of our lovely guests. We will need this in advance to make sure the day is super special for everyone! You can do so on this website!

Question

I unfortunately can't make the wedding what should I do?

Answer

We are sorry to miss you but completely understand! We love each and every one of you and wouldn't be the people we are today with out you! Please RSVP NO so we have an accurate guest count.

Question

Is there an open bar at the reception?

Answer

Yes!! The drinks are on us but the hangover is on you! We only ask that you bring cash to tip our bartenders.

Question

Wait! Where do I select what I want for dinner at the reception?

Answer

Great question! We are having a family style dinner so all food options will be presented at each table. There will be meat and non-meat options! If you have a severe allergy and need details on the menu in advance we are happy to provide you menu info closer to the date.
