We can’t wait to welcome you to the very place where we’ll say “I do.” Guests are encouraged to stay on property for the full experience.

Travel Note

Getting to Portofino

We recommend flying into a major Italian hub and then traveling a short distance to the Ligurian coast. Here are some options and tips for getting to the Italian Riviera!; Best long-haul options: Nonstop flight to Rome (FCO): Starting May 2026, ITA Airways is offering direct flights from Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport to Rome - a great gateway into Italy with easy onward options. One-stop flights to Milan (MXP) or Rome (FCO): These are widely available year-round via European connections (e.g., Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt). Closer connection to Portofino: The closest airport to Portofino is Genoa (GOA) — about a 45 min transfer by vehicle. Most flights to Genoa connect through a European hub like the ones mentioned above. From the airport to Portofino: From Genoa: taxi, private transfer, or train + local bus/ferry. From Milan or Rome: train or flight to Genoa, then onward train/bus/ferry to Santa Margherita Ligure and finally to Portofino. ***Tip:*** We recommend booking early and flying into Milan or Rome first for better flight availability and pricing, then take a short domestic flight to Genoa (GOA) or rail transfer toward the coast. You’ll find trains in Italy are comfortable, scenic, and frequent. Feel free to arrive a few days early to adjust to the time change and enjoy a little Italian Riviera time before the wedding on Oct 3!
