Do I have to book through Linda the travel agent for my room?

Answer

Yes, all room reservations must be made through our travel agent, Linda. This is free of charge. Because of how our wedding is contracted with Marriott, only guests who book through Linda will be included in the official wedding group and able to attend wedding festivities. Please understand this is critical to ensure there are no issues with your reservation or access to events. You can reach out to Linda directly using the contact information below, or click “Reserve My Room” under the Travel tab on our website to get started. How do I book my room in the room block?

Please visit the “Travel” tab and click on the link to take you to the booking website. From there click “Reserve My Room” fill out all the information and Linda will reach out to you directly to confirm your booking! When do the wedding festivities begin (to help plan arrival times)?

Answer

The celebration kicks off with our Welcome Party on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 5–7 PM EST. The Rehearsal Dinner will follow at 7 PM. Details about which events you’re invited to will be noted on your RSVP page. We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone throughout the weekend!

What is the breakdown of cost for the basic room which is the junior suite ocean view?

Answer

All Inclusive Rates: *Please note there is a 3 night minimum* 5 nights from May 12-17th as an example One adult in the room: $2,555 ($511 per night X5 =$2,555) Two adults in the room: $2,890 ($289 per night/ per adult X 5 = $2,890.00) If you go with one junior suite ocean view requesting two queen beds the total for 5 nights for 3 adults is $3,875.00 (as quoted $289 per adult per night X5 + $197 per night third adult) 4 nights from May 12-16th as an example One adult in the room: $2,044 ($511 per night X4 =$2,044) Two adults in the room: $2,312 ($289 per night/ per adult X 4 = $2,312.00) If you go with one junior suite ocean view requesting two queen beds the total for 4 nights for 3 adults is $3,100.00 (as quoted $289 per adult per night X5 + $197 per night third adult) Linda will need full legal passport names and dates of birth to book. She will have to email you a credit card authorization for $1 – to get the credit card information. Then the hotel will be the one to charge your card in full 30 days prior to arrival – they just require a valid credit card to secure everything.

How does payment work for the room block?

Answer

Linda will reach out to you directly after you fill out all the information on the “Reserve My Room” link. No Deposit is required, but she needs a credit card authorization to confirm your reservation and to hold your room. Final payment will be charged to your authorized card 30 days prior to departure by the resort directly.

There are 19 different room categories to choose from the most basic being the Junior Suite Ocean View to the Penthouse Suite. Linda can go over all the different room categories available they range from 1 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms, 3 bedrooms, etc.

You can book spa services directly with the Spa, Concierge, or your Butler. Our group receives 10% off all spa services. When booking a spa service you receive the hydrotherapy for 1 hour complimentary this includes dry sauna, steam room, cold plunge, hot tub, locker room with shower access, and a large pool.

Can you purchase a Day Pass to the Spa for the hydrotherapy?

The day pass includes all day access where you can come and go as you please from 7AM-6PM this includes dry sauna, steam room, cold plunge, hot tub, locker room with shower access, and a large pool. Our group receives 10% off all spa services so this price would $53.10 per person

If I need to book dinner reservations for more than 5 people, how can I do that?

Answer

To book reservations for more than 5 guests at Capriccio (Italian) or Wok a la carte (Pan-Asian Experience Hibachi), please email concierge@sanctuarycapcana.com. These two restaurants require reservations, and we highly recommend making them in advance as it is very difficult once you have already arrived—regardless of group size. Reservations for parties of 5 or fewer can be made through the Marriott Bonvoy App (“Marriott Experience”) after check-in but we recommend in advance. You can begin making email reservations as early as April 28, 2026, please let them know you are in the Vaughan & Coleman Wedding May 15, 2026.

You can see everything you need to know from booking dinner reservations, to seeing menus at each restaurant and operating hours. It is the best way to get all your questions answered and helps with navigating when you are at the resort.

When should we fly in?

The bride and groom will be arriving Tuesday May 12th, 2026 and staying till Monday, May 18th, 2026. Feel free to arrive whenever is best for your schedule! Please keep in mind there is a 3 night stay minimum and the Welcome Party will start Thursday May 14th at 5:00pm.

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, but our wedding will be held at an adults-only resort (18+). This means children unfortunately cannot attend. Invitations are addressed specifically to those invited, so only the names listed on the front of your envelope are included.

What is the dress code for the wedding ceremony?

Answer

Dress Code: Island Formal We kindly invite our guests to dress in island formal attire. Women are encouraged to wear long dresses or formal evening gowns, and men to wear suits or dressy linen suits, ties are optional. Please note that both the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors, with the ceremony taking place on grass (no sand or stones).

Do I get a plus one?

Answer

To keep our celebration intimate, we are limiting our guest list to family and close friends. Invitations are addressed to the specific people we are able to include, so unless your invitation lists a guest by name or “and guest", we’re unable to accommodate a plus one.

Do I need a Passport?

Answer

Yes! The Dominican Republic requires anyone traveling to or from to have a valid Passport for entry and exit. Please ensure it is not expiring within 6 months of travel dates to avoid any issues.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We want our guests to be fully present, so we are asking guests to not take photos or videos during the ceremony. We have hired an amazing photographer to document the day, and would be more than happy to send you the photos upon request! After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos/videos as you’d like!

Is there any documents required to enter or exit the Dominican Republic?

Answer

Yes you will need a valid passport as well as to complete the E-Ticket online. You will receive an email from the airline you are flying on to complete a few days prior to your flight. You have to fill out the form online for both your arrival and departure into the DR. They will issue you a document with a QR code that you will need to have saved on your phone or printed out to show at the airport.
