Question

Do I need accommodation for the wedding?

Answer

No, we will be providing accommodations for our guests during the days of the wedding. If you plan on traveling in India before or after the wedding, you would need to make your own arrangements.

Question

How do I get from the airport to the wedding venue?

Answer

We will have taxis arranged to ensure you get from the airport to the wedding venue safely. Please provide us with your flight details (i.e. time of arrival and gate) in advance so we can ensure that a taxi driver is there to pick you up on time.

Question

What should I wear at the wedding?

Answer

We would love for all of our guests to attend events in Indian clothes, though it is not a requirement.

Question

Where can I purchase Indian clothes for the events?

Answer

Please do not feel the need to purchase all Indian outfits if you do not want to, but if you would like to wear traditional clothing, here are several websites you can purchase them from: - Aza Fashion (azafashion.com) - Cbazaar (cbazaar.com) - Indya (houseofindya.com) - Kalki (kalkifashion.com) - Lashkaraa (lashkaraa.com) - Mirraw (mirraw.com) - Pernia’s Pop Up Shop (perniaspopupshop.com) - Utsav Fashion (utsavfashion.com) Outfits can also sometimes be found on Etsy or secondhand on Facebook Marketplace. There are also several websites to rent clothes from: - Glamourental (glamourental.com) - All Borrow (allborrow.com) - Borrow the Bazaar (borrowthebazaar.com) Note: We recommend ordering clothes around 1.5 months prior to the wedding to ensure they reach on time. Please also feel free to reach out to us to see if we have any extra Indian clothes than can be provided to you to wear at the wedding!

Question

Do I need a visa to travel to India?

Answer

We recommend booking your flights as soon as possible for the cheapest options.

Answer

We recommend arriving to India at least 1-2 days prior to the wedding to allow your body to adjust from the long flight and time difference.

Question

What will the weather be like in India?

Answer

Rajasthan is a desert with the days being around 72°F/22°C and the nights being around 48°F/9°C. Since it does get chilly at night, we do recommend that you bring layers such as jackets or cardigans.

Question

Can I drink the water and eat the food while traveling around India?

Answer

Only drink bottled water and eat hot foods at restaurants in India as the tap water and street food may cause you to get sick.

Question

How do I pay for things?

Answer

Credit cards may work in India, however, it is a country that relies heavily on cash so we recommend taking cash out at the airport or a local bank. Some areas may use Google Pay, so we suggest having that set up as another option.

Question

Will my phone work in India?

Answer

Some plans may cover international travel to India and we recommend that you check with your carrier prior to traveling. For those that aren't covered, we recommend getting an eSIM such as Airalo.
