Just a few steps away from the lodge - this nursery/gift shop offers an extensive selection of indoor and outdoor plants. It is fun to take a coffee and stroll the grounds while also keeping an eye out for the nursery's many cats! Ryan particularly bonded with "Thistle" the last time we were there. :)
We have been here several times! It's just a small little stop in the heart of town, but they have lots of locally brewed beer options. No food served here, but you are allowed to bring food from other locations and play board games while you drink beer!
Linn's is a local restaurant/bakery that serves traditional-style American food. They also have a cute coffee and gift shop attached to the restaurant. The BEST thing they serve is their Olallieberry preserves - which can be put on their delicious homemade pies, cakes, and even just plain bread! They grow this berry hybrid on their farm, and it makes the stop worth it! Ryan and I loved it so much that we will be having it for our bride and groom's cake.
Only 9 miles from the lodge, visit Hearst Castle and discover an incredible collection of over 25,000 historical artifacts. Imagined by William Randolph Hearst and executed by famed architect Julia Morgan, this iconic group of structures features lush gardens, larger-than-life rooms, and countless noteworthy artworks.
This is a beautiful Tuscan-style winery that features a wide selection of delicious organic wine. It is a large estate where you are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and relax with a glass of wine on their beautiful grounds. They also have an 18-hole disc golf course and will periodically have live music. Cambria Pines Lodge sources all of their house wine from Castoro, so we will be serving their wine at our wedding!
Located about 25 minutes from CPL (and just down the way from Castoro), this winery is a sight to see! It's a gorgeous castle-like winery complete with a moat in front. It has a great outdoor patio and delicious wines to complement the beautiful view. Ryan and I's favorite wine of theirs is called "The Possessor"
