Nathan proposed in the most perfect way. On our first official date, we went to play softball together. It’s where we really started to bond and realized how much we enjoyed being around each other. We hit softballs, played catch, and talked… well, kind of. We definitely talked, but not a ton, since we were both a little nervous and trying to make a good impression. Even so, conversation felt easy and safe, and we both left knowing there was something special there. Fast forward to December 11th, 2024, when Nathan brought me back to that very same softball complex. We played catch for a couple of minutes… and I mean a couple of minutes (it was December in North Dakota, how I wasn’t suspicious is still beyond me). Then Nathan casually said, “Do you want to look at the ball?” I looked down and saw the words written across the softball: “Will you marry me?” And of course, the answer was an easy yes.
