Hotel, train, and airport recommendations for out-of-towners. We didn't want to force anyone to stay in a particular hotel since prices vary drastically, people have different preferences, and there are so many in one small area close by.

Hotel

Thompson Central Park New York, by Hyatt

119 West 56th Street, New York, NY 10019

Hotel

DoubleTree by Hilton New York Midtown Fifth Ave

25 West 51st Street, New York, NY 10019

Hotel

The Bernic Hotel New York City, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

145 - 147 East 47th Street, New York, NY 10017

Hotel

The Empire Hotel

44 West 63rd Street, New York, NY 10023

Good for those who want to stay out of the hustle and bustle of midtown; and if you want the full Gossip Girl experience.

Hotel

Holiday Inn New York City - Times Square by IHG

585 8th Avenue, New York, NY 10018

Train

Amtrak or MetroNorth Rail

We've taken Amtrak from Boston, MA / Windsor Locks, CT and MetroNorth from New Haven, CT many times -- a great option for those coming from CT and MA! Book early though for the best prices.

Flight

La Guardia Airport

NYC has tons of airports, but La Guardia is definitely the easiest for domestic flights, and is only a short car ride from all hotel suggestions.

Flight

Newark Liberty International Airport

Newark is the next most convenient airport to get into the city, if LaGuardia doesn't work out! Train and car rides are ~30 minutes to hotel suggestions.
