We first met when we were just seven and ten years old, at Vacation Bible School at St. John's Episcopal Church in York. We were friends, singing together in the choir, playing games, having snacks and singing songs with father Kemp. Until we were too old to go to Vacation Bible School. We lost touch for many years. Back then, if you didn't have an address or home phone number, you couldn't keep in touch. Vanissa never forgot about Matt and wondered over the years where he was and how he was doing. In 2010 she thought she'd search for him on Facebook. She found him and sent him a friend request. He accepted it, although at first he didn't remember who she was. They became friends on Facebook and got to catch up on all the years they missed. They were both married. So they enjoyed seeing what was going on in each other's lives. Eventually Matt's marriage dissolved and Vanissa's was not doing well either. Matt invited Vanissa up to his house for a bon fire with friends. She went, thinking it would be nice to see her friend in person after all these years. They really hit it off and enjoyed each other's company! It wasn't long before they realized they had feelings for each other. Things had come full circle! From friends as little kids to being the love of each other's lives!
