What are the male guests wearing?

Answer

Most of the male guests are wearing black or navy pants. Long or short sleeves are fine. No jeans or overalls, family joke!

What color dress should I wear? Or not wear?

Answer

Some ladies are wearing navy or dark green. Floral prints are encouraged. Others are wearing wine, burgundy, burnt orange, or even black. Please don’t wear dresses that are white, off white, being, tan or khaki. We encourage you to wear the color and style of your choice, however, you may stand out if you wear pink or pastels. Guests are leaning toward jewel and fall tones by their own choice.

Are you registered for gifts?

Answer

No, we do not have a registry. Our household is full! If you would like to give a card, cash, or gift card, that would be greatly appreciated. We will also have a QR code available for Venmo.

What time should I actually arrive?

Answer

An ideal time is 1:00; anytime between 12:45-1:15 is fine. The ceremony starts at 1:30 sharp. Before the wedding ceremony, there will be light appetizers, activities and mingling.

Where do I park?

Answer

Parking will be across the street near the garden. This will be marked or manned. The photographer will be working on the left, or far side, of the garden.

What should I do when I arrive?

Answer

Meet us in the backyard!! In case our attendant is tied up, here are some ideas of what to do as you arrive: Find your seat at your table. Have appetizers and drinks. Use the telephone guest book & the Photo “Booth”. Mingle with other guests. Walk around the backyard Use the bathroom before the ceremony.

What if I need to “get away” for a minute or take a cigarette break?

Answer

Although there are reserved seats at tables, there will be extra chairs, tree stumps. and areas to congregate around the backyard. There are also a couple of chairs in the front yard. We will set up an area in front/ across the street for cigarette breaks. We do not plan on using the living room. Step in to use the guest bathroom as needed.

Can I go inside?

Answer

There are multiple guests staying at the house. We don’t plan on using the indoors. If you need a minute away, or to use the bathroom, sure! If it’s freezing for everyone, we will move into the tent or lead the party inside.

Are you having lunch or dinner?

Answer

We will be hosting dinner. There will be refreshments and light appetizers before the wedding from 12:45 - 1:30. We are not planning on serving alcohol.

Can I bring a “plus one?”

Answer

Invitations were sent for exact household members due to seating. If you’re unsure, please contact us.

Can I wear jeans?

Answer

No, no overalls and no jeans of any color. No denim. This has become a family joke with some guests. No way, folks!
