We're finally tying the knot!

No one ever saw this coming, including us. Tony is Jessica’s brother, and she has been my best friend since I was 10 (6th grade, AMS, ohhhh the memories). This was not the start, ha. Tony lived in Guatemala and Virginia before he started traveling to Houston in 2004…At that time, Tony was her brother and that’s where it stopped! Wont bore you all with all of the stories in between but fast forward to 2011, I decided to refinance and he (of course) worked in banking…Low and behold, we started trading emails and texts around the refi and then a quick chit chat here and there. Still looked at him as her brother (remember those days where the opposite sex siblings had koodies) and kept about my business and he did as well (I think, I mean he has never admitted to it but maybe he was already trying to work it, haha, I kid, well maybe not). He started hanging around us more (again, maybe it was already in his master plan) and well…our friendship started to evolve just a little more…fast forward to 2012 and bam, his planned finally came to fruition and well…the rest is history!! It definitely has been a ride thus far!! And while we are looking forward to what the rest of our lives has in store for us, it just felt right to go ahead and formally tie the knot and share in all the memories we have made and what we will get to make with all those we love. We can’t wait!!

Mexico has been part of our story from the get-go (I mean, I’m Mexican after all)! But in good Tony fashion (planning isn’t his forte), a trip to a very nice jewelry store that had been arranged by the hotel we were staying in Cancun, turned into a, how about we look at engagement rings to let’s pick one now to make sure you like it and chose one and he bought it…we’ll coincidentally and conveniently enough, we had a romantic dinner on the beach already arranged for that night so…as you can imagine (even though he was warned not to), he got down on one knee and popped the question! Of course as all of you know, I said yes!
