We met in high school party funny enough even though we were both in college. Vania had just moved to Texas from California and she was living in the house where the party was being hosted. I was leading a youth group at the time and I remember standing by the entrance of the kitchen when suddenly i see Vania walking past me. We locked eyes and it felt as if we were in a romantic movie. We connected a few weeks later when her uncle invited me to eat lunch with the entire family after church. Vania sat in front of me and began having a conversation with me. A few weeks passed and we began to slowly build communication through social media which led for me to ask her out on a date. After that night, I knew there was something special.

On July 21 our lives changed forever. I had taken Vania shopping with the family, and asked her in front of her parents, if we could go on a date just the two of us. Vania's parents already knew what was going to happen, however, they made it seem as if the date was out of the vacation plans. Nonetheless, they agreed to let us go on the date and Vania was under the impression that we got lucky. She had no idea that I had an entire proposal planned out. I told her I had a reservation for two in a restaurant by the beach. So I asked her if she would walk with me on the beach while we waited to be seated. As we walked down the beach, my mind went blank. I had forgotten where the proposal set up was, I had forgotten that I was going to propose, and I was like a deer in headlights. I heard a loud gasp and quickly dropped to one knee and as quick as I could, I pulled out the ring and asked her the most important question of my life; "Will you marry me?" At first there was no response. Just a face that seemed to be in awe and in terror at the same time. It took a few seconds for her to react, and with tears with her face and a smile, she said "Yes! I will marry you!" Thus our journey to forever had begun. Now we are planning our wedding together which will lead us into the greatest season of our lives.
