Semi-formal or cocktail attire, please. Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits and tops, or go with a nice jacket and slacks, ties optional. Humboldt County's weather can be unpredictable, especially along the coast. The ceremony will be outdoors on a grassy bluff overlooking the ocean. Late summer afternoons are typically clear and warm but the fog tends to roll in shortly after sunset. Please keep this in mind and bring along something warm in case it gets chilly.
Check out our Travel page for more information. The wedding venue is a little ways away from most hotels. The closest hotel to the venue would be the Bear River Casino and Hotel but there are more options available (and more things to do) in Eureka and Arcata.
This is one of the downsides of living in rural Northern California. While we do have taxis as well as Uber and Lyft, drivers are limited. We recommend getting a rental car, ideally going in on a rental car with a few other folks. We are looking into the possibility of renting a shuttle service to get people to and from the venue, but nothing is set just yet.
