Earlier is better for us. If you are planning to stay at the 4H Skelton Center, we kindly ask that you RSVP by May 30th. If you are joining us for a day trip, we would love final numbers by July 1st.
Located just 10 minutes from the party house, the Reid Jones Jr. Lodge will be rented for our guests for the weekend. Please visit the website to view the accommodations. Sheets and basic toiletries will be provided. https://skelton4hcenter.org/accommodations/
Yes! If you are staying at the 4H Skelton Center, please drive there directly. We are trying to avoid filling the neighborhood around the party house with cars. The Skelton Center has ample parking, and we will be providing a shuttle service that will run continuously throughout the party and afterward. Please indicate on your RSVP how many nights you plan to stay. Someone from our group will be at the Reid Jones Jr. Lodge to distribute keys. If you arrive after the party begins, your key will likely be waiting for you on a table in the lobby.
Before 10am. Bagels and coffee will be provided in the hotel lobby for a quick breakfast on the go!
We kindly ask that you do not arrive at the party house until the official party time on Saturday. The 4H Center offers free kayaking, hiking trails, and plenty of activities to enjoy. For Friday night, there are great local restaurants to explore, including Napoli Cowboy, Wake Cafe, Napoli on the Lake, and more. For specific recommendations or ideas, please feel free to reach out to Brooke!
Lodging options in the area are limited due to the rural setting. Some alternative places to consider include Bernard’s Landing, The Lake Inn, hotels in Roanoke and local Airbnbs. Please note guests choosing alternative accommodations will be responsible for their own transportation. The area consists of winding country roads with a high deer population, so please drive carefully.
Most likely, yes. That said, please keep in mind the party will involve drinking and dancing and may not be the best environment for supervising children.
