Getting to Priego
For flights, we recommend flying into either Madrid (MAD) or Málaga (AGP). If flying into Madrid, you can book a high-speed train (Iryo or Renfe AVE) from Madrid's Puerta de Atocha train station to Córdoba, and then rent a car from the Córdoba train station and drive to Priego de Córdoba. It is about an hour and 15 minute drive from Córdoba city to Priego. If flying into Málaga, you can rent a car directly from the airport and drive to Priego from there. It's about an hour and a half drive from Málaga city to Priego. Priego de Córdoba is a relatively small town so the last leg of the journey will require renting a car as mentioned above. We'd recommend staying in Priego on Friday and Saturday night and exploring other cities around Andalusia for the rest of your stay. Below we've included a few recommended hotels within walking distance of the church for your stay in Priego. If contacting directly, the email addresses provided below may be the easiest form of communication! Otherwise booking through a site like Booking.com should work as well. If neither of those work, let us know and we will call the hotel for you :). Before or After the Wedding
Places definitely worth visiting before or after the wedding weekend would be the following! -Málaga: about 1.5h drive from Priego. This is our favorite city in Spain! Beach, mountains, nice weather, food, what more could you want! -Sevilla: 2-2.5hr drive from Priego. Also reachable by high-speed train from both Córdoba and Málaga. Sevilla is the vibrant capital of Andalusia, known for its rich history, flamenco dancing, and stunning landmarks like the Alcázar Palace and the Giralda Cathedral. -Córdoba: about 1hr15m drive from Priego. Córdoba is the gem of Andalusia, with a unique blend of Roman, Moorish, and Spanish influences and impressive landmarks such as the Mezquita-Catedral.
