We hit it off from then and have been best friends ever since. From having Debbie Cakes while waiting for the bus to needing coffee to start the party (lol), we have truly evolved over the last 26 years. She is also my son Brandon's godmother and she is my family.

My name is Jejuan and I met Vanessa back when we were flight attendants in Milwaukee. I instantly fell in love with Vanessa when I met her when she took me under her wing and helped me tame my hair! She’d groom me like a cat on the jet bridges between flights and I just knew I had found my sister from another mister. Vanessa’s happy means the world is happy! I love you, Vanessa!! Eeeee!!!

Greetings, I am Rachel Noble living in Charlotte, NC-Queen City 😘. Vanessa and I met during a NABJ convention in 2001 of which we both were scholarship recipients. Since undergrad at UW-Milwaukee, we became best friends, sisters, travel partners and have learned so much about life while becoming adults. I love her. She is Godmother to my son Marquis and daughter MadisonRae, and would swim across an ocean to make her happy.... I mean without getting my hair wet though 😒.
