Retail Therapy on El Paseo
In need of some new threads? get dressed up and head to the El Paseo Shopping District in Palm Desert, where you'll find everything from luxury fashion and jewelry brands to locally owned boutiques and vintage shops. From January to April, try to time your visit to the first Friday of the month, when classic cars cruise the avenue in the afternoon. Afterward, the Art Walk runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., when you can wander into participating galleries and even see live art demonstrations.
Palm Springs Walk of the Stars
Downtown Palm Springs can be fun for a cocktail date, shopping, art hunting, or walking around. Established in 1992, the Palm Springs Walk of the Stars celebrates the A-listers and local legends who have loved and contributed to Palm Springs throughout its history, including Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, and President Ronald Reagan. Count more than 400 names as you stroll, or just hunt down your favorite. We highly recommend to visit the Palm Springs Art Museum if you choose to visit downtown Palm Springs!

Walter and Leonore Annenberg were extraordinary philanthropists, designating more than $3 billion in grants and gifts to major research universities, hospitals, medical centers, public schools, and cultural and civic organizations. Today, their estate can be toured for a historic house tour, visit the new cafe, wander the gardens, and see where diplomatic meetings and guests would stay during visits. Free activities or, for a more in depth experience, schedule a tour; Birding on the Estate, Guided Shuttle Tour, Historic House Tour .
