FAQs

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, The Wildflower Barn has it's own parking lots. Please park in the lot for the Bluebonnet Barn.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Currently there is no shuttle service available. If you do not want to drive yourself to the venue, we suggest booking a ride share service such as Uber or Lyft. Please be sure to have directions on hand for your driver, in case they've never driven to The Wildflower Barn.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones but unfortunately our venue is all outdoors in the middle of the woods so it is not a safe environment for children to wander around therefore we are not able to accommodate for children under the age of 13 at the wedding.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Although there is no formal dress code for our venue, we suggest cocktail party attire that is comfortable for you to wear outdoors.

Question

Is the wedding entirely outdoors?

Answer

Yes! Be prepared to be sitting under a canopy of beautiful oak trees and dancing in the open air barn.

Question

Will I be able to get a ride share to and from the venue?

Answer

Ride shares such as Uber and Lyft will drive you TO our venue. You are able to schedule a Lyft or Uber to pick you up when the reception ends but a scheduled pick up does not guarantee a pick up. You will only get picked up if there are already drivers working in the area (we are told there are little to none in the area after 8pm) therefore please make sure to have a Plan B as a pick up option, if you are not driving yourself. Otherwise please drink responsibly.

Question

Is the venue easy to find?

Answer

Yes and No. Please enter the address into your GPS as opposed to entering in the venue's name. Google maps will tell you to make turns that are incorrect. The Wildflower Barn's website has detailed directions. Once you turn on Elder Hill Road you want to look at the directions from the venue's website because none of the house numbers are in any particular order (yay for country rules!) There are a few signs on Elder Hill Road once you pass the big oak tree that point you to keep going to reach The Wildflower Barn.

Question

What precautions are being taken?

Answer

We have reduced the number of guests. Our venue is all outdoors including the open air barn. Although we are reducing the number of guests, we are keeping the same number of tables so that social distancing during dinner is possible.

Question

Do I need to wear a mask even though the wedding is outdoors?

Answer

Yes. We are asking everyone to wear a mask unless you are eating or drinking. Masks will be available if you do not have one or if yours needs replacing during the night.

Question

What can I do as a guest to ensure I’m limiting the risk for the spread of Covid?

Answer

Stay home if you or someone you’ve been in contact with has been exposed to someone with Covid within 14 days of the wedding. If you have to be in public due to your job and have a higher risk of exposure, please get tested to ensure the safety of others.

Question

Where can I get a Covid test before the wedding?

Answer

The capitol provides rapid testing

For all the days along the way
