OFF-SITE MASSERIA AND HOTEL RECOMMENDATIONS
Is staying on-site necessary? It is recommended for the full experience, but of course other local options are below and welcome! Borgo can arrange private transfers for guests who need to reach Borgo Egnazia from other locations. Alternatively, renting a car would provide them with more flexibility in their movements. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS AND PASSPORTS
Travel Requirement and Passports: Passport/Visa: U.S. citizens need a valid passport; no visa needed for short tourist stays. Currency/Tipping: Euro (€) is used; tipping isn't mandatory like in the U.S. but appreciated for excellent service. Be sure to check that your passport is not expired or expiring soon. As a general rule, passports must be valid for six months beyond the date the traveler will exit the United States. Starting near the end of 2026, U.S. citizens will be subject to new requirements to travel to Europe: U.S. citizens will be required to register with the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) and pay a fee (€7) to visit 30 European countries, including Italy. It may sound complicated, but it's super easy. Once launched, you can fill out the application form using either ETIAS' website or mobile app. Most applications will process within minutes, but in some instances can take several days or weeks - so please be sure to apply well in advance of your trip. Please make sure you are on top of this so you don't have any issues with your ability to travel to Europe!

Borgo Egnazia will handle transportation guidance. Please e-mail transportation@borgoegnazia.com The transportation team at Borgo will help you find a rental car and/or arrange to pick you up and drop you off to and from the airport. Information below: Transfer from/to Bari/Brindisi airport by E Class, Mercedes sedan (maximum 2 medium luggage): € 175,00 per way; Transfer from/to Bari/Brindisi airport by V Class, Mercedes minivan: € 185,00 per way; Transfer from/to Bari/Brindisi airport by S Class, Mercedes luxury sedan (maximum 2 medium luggage): € 300,00 per way; Transfer from/to Bari/Brindisi airport by hybrid E Class, Mercedes sedan (maximum 2 medium luggage): € 220,00 per way; Transfer from/to Bari/Brindisi airport by electric V Class, Mercedes minivan: € 240,00 per way; Time to reach Bari airport by car: about 45 minutes Time to reach Brindisi airport by car: about 30 minutes Cancellation Policy and extras: These costs can be charged on the room bill. Cancellation without penalty is possible up to 3 hours before the scheduled time of departure of the transfer. 30% surcharge will be applied to all rates if the services are carried out within the time frame between 10:00 p.m. and 07:00 a.m. IF STAYING OFF SITE: Borgo can arrange private transfers for guests who need to reach Borgo Egnazia from other locations.
