We're getting married!

All good love stories begin with a spark – it all started in January 2017, when Nessa and I were freshmen at William & Mary. It was just another Friday night in a college town; I was bartending at my fraternity’s event, and suddenly there she was in front of me. Smiling warmly, small talk turned into flirting, and without a second thought I abandoned my pledge duties for the dancefloor. Best decision I ever made – I met my wife for the first time that night. Within a few days, I had asked Nessa on our first date – wandering the nature trails around Lake Matoaka and taking in the Spring scenery. We were in the final days of Freshman year, and with busy summers ahead of us, we both hoped that our spark would carry over into sophomore year. Not even a concern – we both made the effort to stay in touch over the summer, and by the time sophomore year began in the Fall, we both knew that we had found something special. Anyone who knows Nessa and I understands a universal truth – if one of us is around, the other isn’t far behind. That bond began sophomore year and has carried through today. Ness and I had the privilege of living our college years together, enjoying our carefree youth as underclassmen and working through the realities of young adulthood as upperclassmen. A perfect blend of shared classes, nights at Brickhouse Tavern, long study sessions in the B-School basement, and Spring breaks in Florida. With college behind us, we entered the “real world” at the beginning of a global pandemic. I was surviving my investment banking analyst years (if you know, you know) and Nessa was completing her master’s program at Columbia. New York was ours to explore, alongside our group of close friends (both old and new - love you guys!!). Ness and I moved into our first apartment together, making it our first home - full of late-night takeout, Netflix marathons, and way too much Fortnite. With seven years of life and shared experiences together, we were more than ready. Nessa’s childhood dream was to visit Italy, and we planned a two-week vacation to do just that. Little did Nessa know (though she may have suspected), that I would be proposing during the trip. With the beautiful setting of Lake Como as our backdrop (check out the pics above!) we finalized our unspoken bond - together forever :) Now, we're getting ready to say I do, surrounded by the people who’ve seen our story unfold - from college freshmen to full-blown life partners. Engraved on Nessa’s ring are the words: “All things in life together.” It’s our promise to face every high, low, adventure, and quiet moment side by side. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
