>>>> LOCATION<<<< Quito, Ecuador >>>> FLIGHTS<<<< Book your flights to arrive/depart from Mariscal Sucre Quito International Airport (UIO). There are some direct routes, but most flights require one stop. >>>> WHEN TO BUY TICKETS <<<< Start checking prices in January and aim to book before April 27th. Consider comparing round-trip vs one-way options to find the best deal. >>>> USEFUL APPS <<<< Google Flights and apps like Hopper can help you track prices and find great deals. We encourage booking directly through the airline. >>>> WHERE TO STAY <<<< We recommend that everyone stay in Quito on June 26th (our official hotel is "The Go Quito Hotel"). The wedding on June 27th will take place at La Casona in Puembo (30 minutes from Quito). We will provide transportation to the venue and back to Quito after the reception. However, if you prefer to stay closer after the event, you can book a room at La Palma Polo Club, which is located on-site at the venue. -----> More info in FAQ <-----

Airbnbs in Quito are safe and offer great value. As with anywhere else, we recommend choosing listings hosted by "Superhosts" for the best experience. If you prefer staying in an Airbnb, we encourage you to book one near The Go Hotel so you can easily join the group pick-up and drop-off for all wedding events. This area is also one of the safest and most convenient neighborhoods in the city. The area is central and well-connected, and it’s just a quick Uber or taxi ride away—yes, Uber and Lyft-style services are available in Ecuador!

We highly recommend the Baños 3-day, 2-night combined tour, which includes Cotopaxi, Quilotoa, and Baños de Agua Santa. You can absolutely book these as individual day trips, but Baños is such a magical place that staying overnight makes the experience truly unforgettable. Our favorite hotel in Baños is Luna Volcán—the views are incredible (see the Ecuador tab for photos). -------------------------- Popular One-Day Trips: • Baños de Agua Santa – Known for its waterfalls, thermal hot springs, adventure activities, and lush mountain landscapes. • Cotopaxi – One of the world’s highest active volcanoes, ideal for hiking, sightseeing, and photography. • Quilotoa Crater Lake – A stunning turquoise lagoon inside a volcanic crater with breathtaking viewpoints. • Otavalo – A vibrant town famous for its traditional market, artisanal crafts, Andean culture, and nearby natural attractions. If you choose to stay in Quito, you can explore the Historic Downtown (UNESCO World Heritage Site), visit Mitad del Mundo, or take the Teleférico for spectacular panoramic views of the city and surrounding Andes.

We recommend the 4-day, 3-night Andes & Amazon tour, a wonderful short trip that allows you to experience both the highlands and the rainforest. The itinerary includes Cotopaxi, Quilotoa, Baños de Agua Santa, and Puerto Misahuallí. Michael and I were there recently (see the Ecuador tab for photos), and we absolutely loved it. It’s a very safe, easy, and tourist-friendly introduction to the Amazon—more of a light, accessible jungle experience in a populated area, with hotel options ranging from comfortable to luxury. If you’re interested in exploring more natural, deep-Amazon experiences in protected areas like Cuyabeno, feel free to text Michael—he did a trip a couple of years ago that he highly recommends.
