We're getting married!

A normal day of work, well, as normal as it could be except for the fact that Matt was now going to be my regular engineer on the Missouri River Runner. He says that as soon as I asked him if he was coming with us and he told me, my face lit up! We were friends for awhile, and then eventually began to date... Low and behold three months into dating he comes over after a trip to Ft.Madison to meet a new puppy, our puppy, River. The next six months we would enjoy many baseball games, trips, and spend our first Christmas together...

We flew to California, Matt had lived there for six years and loved it. We spent our time there going to Sacramento Kings games and enjoying the weather. He took me on a drive up to Stinson Beach near San francisco. As we drove up the mountain with the windows rolled down smelling the fresh air I was enjoying every minute, the view was spectacular. We made it up the mountain and parked... we got out and Matt walked me over and we stood and looked out at the Pacific Ocean with San Francisco in the background. It was beautiful. Matt told me how much he loved me, how happy he was to find me, and how he knew he would marry me the day he first saw me. He then pulled a box from his pocket and asked me to marry him!! I of course screamed yes on top of the mountain and in that moment everything felt right and perfect. We am very excited for all the new adventures that are to come!
