You all believe in love at first sight? I did not, until I met Mark, thanks to his lovely brother Kenn, for introducing us, one night in DTA finest pub, Castle Bay. Our first date was at one of my favorite restaurants in my hometown, it felt like we knew each other for years, we clicked immediately and it felt right. I knew he was going to be the one after that. Fast forward to two years living with each other, he promised me a trip to Greece, since he knew it was on my top 5 bucket list places to visit, he wanted to make it happen. Half my family is from Athens, Greece (mom side) and I've been wanting to visit since I was a little girl, so when he told me we were going, I could not believe it. Our first night in Greece, we were in Athens, it was the most fun we ever had, laughing the night away with his parents, breaking plates over each other heads ( a Greek tradition when two people are in love) , Greek dancing with never ending shots of Ouzo, couldn't of asked for a better night, until the next night... The next day we took a ferry over to Mykonos (9/15/2019), the ferry ride was brutal but so worth it. We finally get to Mykonos, both ecstatic, as soon as we got off the ferry, we rushed to our room to get ready and explore the Island. We had dinner in Little Venice, sitting outside, enjoying the warm weather and stuffing our face's with the most amazing pasta, Cabonara. Mark was rushing me to finish my wine, so we wouldn't miss the sunset. We walk over to the Aegean sea to watch the sunset under the famous Windmills. It was so breathtaking, I was already tearing up because I couldn't believe I was there, with the person I love. He stood right in front of me, hugged me and told me how much he loved me, that he would love me forever, got on one knee and asked me to marry him. At this point, I can't even see because tears were flowing of happiness, I said "are you serious??!! YES"! We celebrated the rest of the trip. Can't wait to finally marry this man.
