It all started on May 21, 2016, at a graduation party. A few weeks (and an Instagram DM) later, we had our very first date in Long Beach on June 16th. What began as a summer spark quickly turned into something real—and lasting For years, we navigated a long-distance relationship while Luis served in the Army, growing stronger even when we were miles apart.
