We met the way all students at The Ohio State University do in their freshmen year... at a frat party of course. We would later frequently see each other around campus and eventually, a friendship would form.

Josh and I remained friends throughout our collegiate years and beyond, but eventually lost touch as life moved us on. He lived in Ohio and I lived in Texas, but we reunited ten years after our first meeting. We knew there was a reason God brought us back together; He introduced us to a lifetime love.

Our family took a trip to Honolulu, HI where I was able to show Josh and our daughter, Leilani, the place I call home. Josh quietly formulated a plan for a surprise proposal. He popped the question in front of my childhood home, surrounded by our loved ones. It was perfect.
