We met in English class junior year at Empire High School. Since I was a transfer from another high school I was the new girl and only knew a few people going in. It took awhile for us to speak directly, but one of the first things I said to him was making fun of his awful handwriting. I think he found me funny because over the school year we became friends and started talking in and outside of school all the time. In the spring after he asked me to prom, we met each others families, and we soon started dating. We spent a lot of time together and became inseparable. I knew very soon into our relationship that I loved Jacob and knew I wanted to marry him. When I found out that we both wanted to go to Embry-Riddle I knew that we were going to share a future and life together. Growing up and becoming adults together has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I am so excited to grow old with Jacob and be the witnesses of each other's lives.
Starting out junior year of high-school I saw Vanessa and wondered "did she go here last year or is she new?" she was the quiet and reserved new girl that kept to herself and bullied me about my completely adequate handwriting. After a bit of time she made her way into me and my friends group-chat (Thank you Robbie) where I promptly threatened to break all her bones and use her as a mop; the rest is history. Since that day Vanessa and I could not stop texting one another but were definitely still a little bit awkward in person, until I mustered up the courage to ask her to prom. Though we never got to go to that prom our relationship flourished and I was certain I had met the girl I would marry. We went on to meet one another's families and spent more and more time together. Early on in our relationship we both learned that we wanted to attend Embry-Riddle and I could really see that we were going places together. We went to college with the other to support us and grew ever closer. After these five short years together, as high school sweethearts, the couple that knew each other in high school, and the couple that everyone wanted to be I can truly say that I could not be happier and more full of joy with the woman that I am marrying. I look forward to our lives together and growing with elegance as we set off on our journey into the whole wide world.
