Our heated outdoor swimming pool (adjacent to the Barn, spa & hot tub) is generally open June – September & is reserved for the exclusive use of our overnight guests.

Hot Tub

Located adjacent to the Barn, our hot tub (open year-round) is reserved exclusively for overnight guests. Grab a towel from the barn & enjoy a hot soak! We keep the cover on in winter to ensure perfect temps, please call the front desk for cover removal.

Lake & Private Beach

Lake & Private Beach

Access to our private beach is reserved for our overnight and event guests only. Our beach is open from May through late fall (weather permitting). A lovely walk of less than 3/4 mile down a private lane from the Main Lodge, our beach is situated on a quiet cove on a 740-acre lake. Complimentary kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards are available on a first-come/first-serve basis. Personal flotation devices are required and can be found in the beach shed. Lounge chairs are also available. Forgot your beach towel? Don’t worry! We’ve got them at the front desk in the Main Lodge. Be sure to stop by and grab one before you head to the beach. Want to bring lunch or a snack? Call the front desk and we would be happy to assist. Advance notice is necessary.

Clay Bird Lessons

Clay Bird Shooting Lessons are offered daily by our experienced staff from May through the Fall (weather permitting). For safety reasons, we have a maximum allotment of six participating guests per time slot, with no spectators, and the requirement of a Mountain Top Resort staff member present at all times. * Minimum Age to Participate is 15 Years Old * Advance Reservations are required, as this activity is open to the public. Call our Activity Center at 802.483.2311 to reserve spots! Rates $50 per person for 20 shots with instruction Additional Shots: $2.50 each

Canoes, Paddle Boards, Kayaks

Canoes, Paddle Boards, Kayaks

Offered for the exclusive use of our overnight guests, head to our private beach and grab a complimentary kayak, canoe, or paddleboard to take out and explore the lake. From the center of our lake view back on the resort, or take in views of nearby Pico Ski Mountain. Loons, Bald Eagles, and other native wildlife are often nearby for viewing. Boats are available from 9 am – 5 pm (weather permitting, May through October). Life jackets are supplied and required (available in the beach shed). While our beach remains accessible through dusk, our boating equipment is secured each evening for guest safety.

Fishing

Go Fish! Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Yellow Perch & Sunfish call our 740-acre lake home. With seating for up to 4 people, our small fishing boat rental* (with electric trolling motor) is perfect for a day of fishing on the lake (weather permitting/summer months only). Boat rental is $25/hr. Advance reservations and a local fishing license are required. Didn’t pack your rod? No worries! We have rental equipment too, just stop by the Activities Center. Rental includes two spin casting rods and a tackle box with hooks & assorted lures. Equipment rentals are $20/half day, $30/full day. Additional rods are $5 each. If you’re traveling with children and prefer to stay on land, check out our kid’s pond just a short walk from the Activities Center – it’s a great place to catch frogs! *see additional note by following link

Disc Golf

Our overnight-stay guests enjoy the exclusive and complimentary use of our 9-hole disc golf course. Borrow discs from the front desk or activities center (where you will find hole 1). The course (open late spring through fall) ends at the Tavern. 1st-come/1st-serve.

Tennis & Pickleball

Reserved for our overnight stay guests, borrow a tennis racquet from the south porch (or bring your own) & enjoy our complimentary Tennis Court. Available on a 1st-come/1st-serve basis spring through fall. No pun intended!

60km of Trails

60km of Trails

At the resort, we maintain 60km of wooded trails, plus our manicured meadows and a variety of quiet country lanes. For the more adventurous, our trails also link up with Long Trail access.

Volleyball

Our Sand Volleyball Court is reserved for the exclusive use of our overnight guests. Located just below the tennis court, open spring through fall, it’s just a little difficult to keep your eye on the ball and not the view! (Balls located on the south porch. 1st-come/1st-serve).
