Is there a hotel block?
Question

Is there a Hotel Block?

Answer

Yes, we have block of rooms available at the Holiday Inn in Detroit Lakes both Friday and Saturday night. To reserve a room please call the Holiday Inn at 218-847-2121 and let them know you would like a room in the Duncan-Rutter block. You are more than welcome to make other accommodations if you would prefer. Please book your hotel reservations by April 20th!! We are only able to hold the room block for 1 month before the wedding! Some sort of transportation will be provided to and from the hotel. More details to come.

Question

Is there a Grooms Dinner?

Answer

Yes, the Grooms Dinner will be held Friday night at Tanner and Emma's house at 1425 Long Ave. Detroit Lakes, MN 56501. If you are in town, we would love for you to join us. We will be having a barbeque with drinks from 6pm-8pm.

Question

Is there Parking Available?

Answer

With the venue change we will have plenty of parking spaces available if you would like to drive. There will be signs indicating where you can park. Parking will be allowed overnight. Additionally we will have some sort of transportation provided back to the hotel after the dance.

Question

Are the Ceremony and Reception completely Outdoors?

Answer

Yes, to make things more Covid friendly we have opted to have the entire ceremony and reception outdoors. We will have some tents, patio heaters, and some fires going in the event that the weather does not cooperate. Please plan to dress according to the weather.

Question

Everyone's Favorite Question! Will there be Alcohol Provided?

Answer

Yes, we will be having a keg with light beer, some cans of specialty beer and seltzers, as well as red and white wine available for our guests. Since we are having a backyard wedding we don't have any restriction on guests bringing anything. If you would like to have a specific drink please feel free to BYOB.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

While we are having a backyard wedding, we still think weddings are a fun excuse to dress up! We would like to keep the dress code to semi-formal. Ladies should wear cocktail/summer dresses and gentlemen should wear a nice button down and dress pants with a sports coat optional.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend getting to the house about 30-45 min before the ceremony starts in order to settle in before the fun begins! Feel free to grab a drink and socialize prior to the ceremony!

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

While you presence is present enough for us, we have registered at Target for those who would like to give a tangible gift. We have also set up a “honey-fund” for those who would like to give a monetary gift.
