Halloween night on October 31, 2022 I "Swiped Right" on Tinder and matched with Drew. He immediately messaged me and we talked for approximately 2 day straight. Then out of the blue, he stopped. 4 days went by and he messaged me again, but I had already lost interest and decided to delete my Tinder account. Fast forward 6 Months later. Scrolling through Facebook Dating (ready to delete this profile as well) I get a message request. I clicked on his profile and it was an instant attraction and we had a 95% dating match percentage. I go back to my DM's and read his message that said " Vanessa, I wish I were cross-eyed so I could see you twice." It was Drew. How our paths crossed twice, I have no idea. We talked day and night for two weeks straight. At the time, Drew was an over the road truck driver so when he was able to finally come home, he asked me on a date. Nervous as ever, I could not wait to meet this man (who I just knew was too good to be true)! After a dozen outfit changes and almost backing out, I make it to the movie theater in Fresno where we agreed to meet. He gets off his car, starts walking to mine and I am in utter shock. His big beautiful smile instantly made my heart melt. He opened my car door, and hugged me so tight. He probably thought I was a total weirdo because for some reason, words were not leaving my mouth. As we walked to the movie theater we walked past a jewelry store and I jokingly said " You might as well go pick out my ring right now" in which he replied "Oh, I already plan on marrying you." After our movie we sat in the parking lot in my car playing music, laughing and talking for well over 3 hrs. He kissed me, and immediately sparks flew. I drove home that night on Cloud 9. Since that night, we have been inseparable. I met his kids whom I instantly fell in love with and 3 months later Drew moved to Lemoore with me. Through career changes, ups and downs, and moving to Fresno, Drew & I faced a lot of challenges. But our love for eachother was unbreakable. On December 7th, 2024, we took our first (much needed) vacation together. We set sail to Mexico and get to Cabo San Lucus. It was the most romantic place I had ever seen. As the sun was beginning to set, Drew took me to the very top of our boat and got down on one knee. He proposed with the most beautiful diamond ring and I almost fainted off the boat. The word "YES!!!!" couldn't leave my lips fast enough. I get to MARRY this handsome, funny, sweet man who is my best friend! And here we are now, ready to take the next step in our lives and say our " I Do's". Life works in mysterious ways, but this was a match made in Heaven.
