That smile of his. That's all it took for her to hit "add friend" on Facebook. Only a couple days later and the couple shared their first phone conversation that effortlessly lasted two hours. She learned that Dillon recently moved back from Florida to be closer to family. He learned that Vanessa has a house horse named Sully that happens to be classified as a dog. They shared stories, life lessons, spoke of their faith and described their families. The conversation went so well that Dillon, and his suave salesman skills, secured a date with her the following weekend. One date led to another and another. Before they knew it they were sharing the holidays with each others families, talking more about the future while also planning to design and build a home together. Fast forward to Easter of 2021 when Dillon secretly coordinated a photoshoot for the two of them. With his sister, Megan a photographer, Vanessa didn’t think much of it but knew it would be fun. It was a beautiful spring day and right at golden hour during the middle of the photoshoot Dillon got down on one knee. After some tears Vanessa said yes to forever. Shortly after the proposal Vanessa accepted a new role with the company she worked for which granted her the freedom to move south and start their life together as a newly engaged couple. The couple is excited to solidify their love on January 21st, 2022 surrounded by family and friends. From there they plan to enjoy a few years as a married couple and make some strides in their careers. Dillon and Vanessa have clung closely to the three pillars of a happy and successful relationship - Love, trust and communication. As they have so much more to learn about each other and struggles to overcome together in the future, they hold fast to their faith and always put God first. P.S.
