June 19th, 2020 After graduating college and with the pandemic spiking in summer 2020, it has hard to meet new people. Bijan decided to reach out to Vanessa via "DM" and thought that he can impress her with his witty memes and banter. Turned out he was right! After weeks of texting back and forth, they finally went on their first date, but since it was COVID, dates during that time tended to be outdoors. So they decided to go on a hike. In Vanessa's perspective, this hike would be a blind date. She has never met Bijan in person and only knew of him on social media. She was so nervous about the date, that on the way to the hiking trail, she called her best friend Nilufer. She was freaking out about meeting a total stranger at a random location, and as she was expressing this to Nilufer, the call dropped. Now she was definitely freaking out. Stranger, random trail and no service. Yet, she pulled herself together and made it to meet Bijan for their date. In Bijan's perspective, he has always had an eye for Vanessa since high school at Ygnacio Valley and at community college at DVC. He tried a couple times to grab her attention but to no measure. Going into this date, Bijan was super excited since he was finally going to get to know Vanessa more, the girl he has always had a crush on. Bijan tried to let Vanessa know there was not going to be service there but it was too late... So, he stood in the parking lot, back leaning against his small 2008 Nissan Versa wondering if she would show up and waiting for her to arrive. Finally, Vanessa arrived, blasting Bad Bunny music to calm her. She stepped out to meet Bijan and they both instantly felt a connection that would last forever. And the rest is history... <3
