We had planned a trip to Utah where one of my sisters live for my birthday celebration! So of course, I (bride here) had my suspicion that this could be the weekend. Kenny was a mastermind, and threw me off of his trail. Everyone was very relaxed the Saturday we arrived, and even had me deciding when we would leave and where we would go have brunch. I thought to myself that everyone is too calm for it to be this weekend! And plus there's no giant ring box in Kenny's pocket!! (Yes I know, I did a quick scan I was a stinker) Meanwhile the night before Kenny was panic texting my sister at 2 a.m. asking her where he would hide the ring box. SMART man! Jump forward to Saturday... we had planned to take a 40 minute ride up a ski lift in Sunriver Utah for lunch at the top of the ski resort. The whole way up I was so nervous because I don't like heights!! Kenny was quiet and distracted to which I thought it was because of the heights as well. We made it to one of the scenic lookouts where we stopped for pictures... Kenny sweetly turned towards me and got down on one knee. I blacked out on his sweet speech since I was freaking out about the moment finally being here!! I said yes, and we enjoyed the moment that God had prepared for us. We marveled together at His faithfulness and we are both so excited for the adventure ahead.
This random boy from Oregon and this random girl from Texas met on a choice day during the worst time of your life... the first day of nursing school. Through countless effort, the boy asked the girl to study everyday. The girl, completely oblivious only thought it was truly study time while the boy intended to study the girl. The rest is history!
