It’s not very often that you meet someone who you see nothing with and it becomes something. He came into my life by accident and stayed on purpose—two opposite people with a lot of the same views and values. We were always good competitive friends; between playing games and seeing who has the best data, we maintain a fun-loving, competitive relationship. Josh is my best friend and I can tell him anything and everything. He loves me and all my craziness. He always hears what I want, but that doesn’t mean that he will do what I want. On January 9, 2022, when he proposed to me, I did not expect it. We went out to eat for brunch as a family and this was business as usual for us. We laughed, we played and had a good time. Disclosure: I told Josh I did not want to be proposed to in public and that I did not want an audience. Well, he did the total opposite, as usual. We left the restaurant and we were laughing and talking. I looked over and saw Ron and Britt, of course, I thought “Oh they are late and couldn’t make it to brunch.” I then turn back around and the love of my life is down on his knee crying. I’m begging him to get up as he professes his love for me. I give up on getting him up and I listen, I cry, and I said YES! People are coming and going to the restaurant shouting congratulations! This was one of the best days of my life. Now, we have made it to a year of marriage and we are excited to have a wedding vow renewal ceremony.
