We met at work! We worked together for about a year before we really spent time together and got to know one another. We officially started dating on July 9, 2020 and have been together ever since. We knew it was right from the very start.

Joey proposed 5 days before his birthday. He tricked me into thinking that we were going to a birthday dinner and, along the way, stopped at the place where we had our first date. He and his sister (Vannessa) had planned everything out, and my cousin (Owen) was waiting there to take pictures during the engagement. Joey had to stall for a little, because he wanted to propose right at sunset. I had no idea it was happening basically right up until I saw the pictures of us he’d put up on string lights. It was perfect.
