As told by me, Vanessa. So, I’ll cut to the chase and thank Diana for introducing us to each other. Dee and Erik were in the same MBA program at CSUCI together. I frequently would carpool with my sister after her night class, where in the meantime I spent my time doing my homework. I knew of Erik at first because I’d see him around and he would carpool to school with my sister sometimes. My sister would randomly mention that he was a total Disney nerd and well...I love Disney so I always thought that was funny, but cute. Anywho, my sister happened to mention I went to Walt Disney World to Erik I guess and literally his first words to me one day while I was doing my homework were “so how did you like Walt Disney World?” I glanced up to see this guy with a beaming nerdy smile across his face with both his hands planted on the counter hovering above me (real smooth Erik reaaaal smooth). Honestly I don’t remember how that conversation went afterward. However, time passed and we didn’t talk much at all when we all graduated in 2016. Summer came and went followed by the Fall...In November of 2016 Erik did his research and totally looked all over my social media and behold... I was single. So mister smooth operator hit me up on the DM. Yep. He did THAT. But it worked. Haha. From that moment on we talked almost everyday and hung out on several occasions. I eventually gave into the obvious feelings I had for him on May 6th 2017 and “officially” became a couple. Since then we have been blessed with each others company and have had quite a few adventures along the way. On March 12th 2019 in Cancun, Mexico, Erik proposed and I said yes. I’m forever grateful to have him in my life and can’t wait to see what else the future has in store for the both of us.
