We're getting married!

Marcelo loves to remind me that I made the first move on Hinge. Another thing Marcelo won't let me forget? I had to cancel our first date not once, but twice. Thanks, work! Luckily neither of us gave up, and we met up for a cute little lunch date at Salazar before work one day. Third time was the charm! Marcelo is a planner (like myself), so my favorite part of the date was when Marcelo asked when he could see me again. No waiting and wondering if he was going to text me the next day! *Swoon* -V We found love in a hopeless place… a dating app! There were lots of fish in the sea, but only one VannyT. I listed Miley Cyrus’s “Party in the USA” as my guilty pleasure song, Vanessa had thoughts on it. And as they say, the rest is history. -M

The stage was set: we planned a trip to wine country with a stay at a beautiful B&B. Vanessa thought it was just a year two pandemic get away, but I knew it would be more than that. I had the perfect surprise planned until weather derailed it. With the help of our B&B Host, I planned a last minute sidecar tour through the vineyards of Temecula and she said “yes”. To this day, Vanessa doesn’t know what the original plan was. -M We had a few days off together, so we planned a staycation in Temecula. Marcelo found us the cutest little bed and breakfast for our stay. He had a surprise activity planned for Thursday 3/25. Unfortunately, the original plan was cancelled at the last minute due to weather, so Marcelo had to come up with an emergency Plan B. Well, I didn't realize it was an emergency at the time (lol). We ended up on the most amazing sidecar tour that took us to different wineries, with wine tastings at each stop. At one point, our tour guide took us to the top of a scenic overlook and offered to take our photo. Then Marcelo started getting a little fidgety and looking a little nervous, and I guess you know what happened next... 💍 -V
